how to get rid of a curse

So my dad passed away a few years ago and his partner recently got in touch with me so he could give me some of his stuff that he came across while moving. Most of it was Cher memorabilia from the 70s and 80s, but once I got to the bottom of one of the boxes I found something I hadn't seen since I was a kid: a sword that my uncle brought back from Egypt back in the day. I texted my mom about it and she said that it was cursed and that I need to get rid of it ASAP. I'm not super superstitious, but this thing is starting to freak me out.

What do I do, GAF? I googled around and it looks like I need to burn it, take it to a Catholic priest, or give it away to someone who accepts the curse willingly. Am I already fucked?

Edit: Okay, sorry for the potato quality but my Moto X's camera is borked and all of my roommates are gone. I had to settle for the 3DS camera.

Flip it up in the air and hold your arm out. If it's cursed, you lose an arm. If you're meant to have it, it will circle around your arm and then you just need to find two more good swords to become the greatest swordsman in the world.

I will be able to verify whether it is cursed or not. If it is, the only way to get rid of the cirse is to willingly pass it to another who will willingly accept it. The curse will pass on to that person. I will be that person for you.

You need to find a lvl 5 Cleric, they'll cast remove curse for you. You might have to go kill some kobolds or something first though to earn their trust.

Buy a cursed sheath. Everyone knows two curses cancel each other out.

Please don't burn it. Give it to somebody or sell it. Not everybody believes in curses and will be happy to take it off your hands.

If you can't unequip it you can take it to a priest and they'll remove the curse long enough to do so. Selling it from there should be easy. I think you can also just get a ring or something to nullify the effects of the curse, but finding one may be difficult.

Eat it, then you'll eventually shit out the curse.

Well, let's establish what KIND of cursed sword you have. When you draw it, do you hear mystic voices in your head, demanding that you kill? Or is it more that it seizes your body with unnatural rage, forcing you to cut everyone you love into pieces?

Alternatively, was your father plagued by bad luck until his end, resulting in poverty then death?

Depending on the answers, you will have to employ different methods to break the curse. Alternatively you can find a 5th level Cleric to cast Remove Curse?

If you haven't equipped it yet, it's not too late. If you already have, however, you may have to kill 1000 monsters in order to lift the curse.

Why would you wanna get rid of it? It damages ghosts without you ever having to use transient curse.
